Can I consume alcohol while working out?
Yes. Alcohol can increase energy expenditure, speed up healing time, and reduce soreness.
It also increases insulin sensitivity. This makes it easier and faster to absorb glucose.
However, alcohol can cause dehydration, which can slow down your metabolism. It also reduces testosterone production, which may decrease muscle-building potential.

The best thing for women who are pregnant is to avoid alcohol.
Men should drink only one glass of alcohol per day.
Is it true to say that protein overeating can lead to kidney stones?
Protein helps to maintain healthy bones, tissue, and skin. Too much protein can cause calcium to be excreted through the urine. This can lead to kidney stone formation.
It is important to remember that not all people get kidney stones from eating more than 2g protein per kilogram (2.2lbs) of body weight. High amounts of protein can be consumed by some people without causing kidney stones.
Watching your sodium intake can help prevent kidney stones. The kidneys regulate the amount of sodium they consume. A high level of sodium can increase the risk of developing kidney stone.
If you have kidney stone, you might also consider reducing your protein intake. Protein provides about half of the daily caloric needs for most adults. You'll lose weight if you reduce your intake of protein.
If you do decide to eat more protein, don't go overboard. Try to eat less than 20% protein in total calories.
