Each gym is $1.3 million in cost and Planet Fitness has had difficulty finding real estate to accommodate these many locations.

The Planet Fitness Hull Street location is more than 19,000 square feet, and it will compete with Gold's Gym and American Family Fitness, which also operate in the same area. The new addition is situated next to Gabe’s retail space, in an area that was previously occupied previousy by Kmart. Gold's Gym also increased its parking lot to accommodate the new location.

Planet Fitness is a club located in Mundelein Illinois. It has been open for more than a year and boasts 227 parking spaces. Parking in the building can be limited during peak hours, but the club anticipates no parking issues. Planet Fitness is already known for turning malls around and boosting retail sales, so there's no reason to think that it will have a negative impact on parking at the Mundelein location.
